Former Chittagong MP Nadvir’s personal assistant arrested
Police have arrested Md. Russell Uddin, the personal assistant of former MP Abu Reza Muhammad Nezamuddin Nadvir of Chittagong-15 (Satkania-Lohagara) on charges of involvement in an attack during the anti-discrimination movement. He was arrested from the city’s Kotwali Police Station area late Saturday night. Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Karim confirmed Russell Uddin’s arrest. He told Prothom Alo that there is a case against Russell Uddin for attacking students and the public during the anti-discrimination movement. He has been shown arrested in that case. OC Abdul Karim also said that the arrested Md. Russell Uddin has been arrested and sent to court. According to local residents, Russell is a former councilor of Satkania Municipality.
